Just Fine Tables’ most recent Handcrafted Table is a Stained Maple Top “Desk – Console” built and supported on a Singer Sewing Machine Base. Yes! .. a Desk or Console built on a Sewing Machine Base.

All the materials used to build the table desk – console have been sitting around in our shop for a year or more. We thought it a good time to build something unique for say, Father’s Day and just to get the materials out of our shop… before our relocation to Tennessee. Yes, Just Fine Tables is moving to Tennessee. As a result, we will be able to classify our future farm tables as having been built on a farm. [ Note: We will maintain a sales and show booth at Encore Resales even after the move.]

TABLE DESK – CONSOLE
Back to the Table Desk-Console: All the maple parts were previously stained with Just Fine Tables’ proprietary ‘kitchen sink’ stain and all the shelves and lower pieces reflect that staining. ( We did finish the lower sections with an application of MINWAX brand ‘Natural’ Stain and a coating of Satin Polyurethane for long life and beauty.) The stain on the table desk – console top is a combination of our ‘kitchen sink’ stain and a Dark Walnut stain. The table top was final finished with two coats of polyurethane …with all painted parts painted and poly’d in a satin finished black.
In addition to the Table Desk – Console, Just Fine Tables updated a couple of other furniture pieces. Most notably, a small drop leaf table and a couple of Windsor style chairs. The Drop Leaf Table and the Windsor Chairs were refinished to match to make a useable table and chair set.

STAINED TOP DROP LEAF TABLE & CHAIRS (TABLE = 35″ DIAMETER)
The Drop Leaf Table Top was Refreshingly Stained and the Table Base and Chairs were Painted and Distressed “Cottage White”. (Note: This is one of the best small drop leaf tables that Just Fine Tables has had the opportunity to refinish.)
