A “Barn Wood Top” FARM TABLE and an “Oak Top” WINE BAR – BUFFET TABLE with 3 Basket Shelf and 8 Bottle Wine Storage Shelf are the most recent tables from Just Fine Tables, Calera, AL.

The Barn Wood Top FARM TABLE is one offering the old rustic sawn plank look most everyone loves. It has been updated to ensure physical integrity and long lasting quality. The table is 31″ x 72″ allowing easy six (6) people seating for your family and friends’ dining enjoyment.

The “Distressed Oak Top” WINE BAR – BUFFET TABLE with Basket Shelf has been resurrected as a result of multiple requests from our Made-in-America table friends. The three (3) basket shelf includes 3 large purchased baskets for convenience and are included as part of the wine bar. The standard wine bottle shelf has storage slots for eight (8) bottles and shelving for trays, etc. The Wine Bar – Buffet Table is our most popular size having dimensions 23″ x 60″ and counter height (36″).

Alabama Game WINE BAR – Man Cave COFFEE TABLE- “Maple Top’ FARM TABLE

An Alabama National Championship Game WINE BAR, a Man Cave COFFEE TABLE, and a “Maple Top” FARM TABLE have found new homes since the beginning of 2012.

Just Fine Tables labeled the Wine bar as an Alabama National Championship Game WINE BAR as it was built for a customer wanting the custom wine bar for a group party he was giving for his guests as they watched and enjoyed the Alabama Crimson Tide winning the Championship. Note: The Wine Bar arrived at the party Just Before the Kickoff. Here is a picture of the Just In Time Wine Bar – Buffet Table.

The newest “Man Cave” Coffee Table (with Hidden Flip Top Storage and lower metal shelf) was delivered to Encore Resales as a consignment item late one evening and … it was gone the next day. Here is a picture of the unique Man Cave Coffee Table.

And last, but not least, a small custom “Maple Top” FARM TABLE was completed and delivered to Encore Resales as another consignment item and it left the store for a new home in less than 5 hours. Here is a picture of the Maple Top Farm Table.

Custom COFFEE TABLE with Matching END / SIDE TABLES

Custom COFFEE TABLE with Matching END / SIDE TABLES (…ALL with Lower Shelves) were delivered to their new owner just before Christmas for them to enjoy over the Holidays and forward.  The new custom built coffee table and matching side tables were ordered to replace an old existing ensemble of the same.

The Coffee Table and End / Side Tables are displayed below before being moved upstairs in their new home:

The tables were all built ‘sight unseen’ based upon the customer’s desires and best thoughts for what the lady customer wanted.  She knew the basic dimensions of what she wanted and that she wanted the tables to all have lower shelves for baskets and the like.  However, she was undecided on what type wood top and stain color she wanted in the tables.   In response to that question, we at Just Fine Tables offered her a selection by looking over past custom built farm tables. We asked that she look over some examples of past work to help in making a selection.  She did! …and selected the Maple Top as the best example of what she wanted.

We at Just Fine Tables will check back with the customer after we return from a much needed vacation with our Texas based Children and Grandson to get the final determination if the Coffee Table and End / Side Tables met with her satisfaction.  We think they will as her husband said that the new tables looked a lot better than their current ones.

Note: If we find that the tables are not what the customer wanted, we at Just Fine Tables will buy them back as we always want our customers happy with our work.

Custom WINE BAR & Custom COFFEE TABLE for Christmas

Just Fine Tables delivered a Customer Designed Wine Bar – Buffet Table and a Customer Sized Coffee Table with Lower Shelf this past week to their new owners to enjoy over the holidays and for years to come.  Both items were built from scratch. Yes, they are virgin “Made-in-America” tables built by Just Fine Tables at our new location in Calera, Alabama.

For the Wine Bar-Buffet Table, the customer requested an additional shelf for added wine bottle storage. The idea was to have extra storage at the bottom of the wine bar and that the typical upper shelf would provide immediate and easy access to current wine serving with an expanded area on the shelf for hors d’oeuvres, cheese, and the like.  The Wine Bar-Buffet Table is pictured below in its new home:

For the Coffee Table with Lower Shelf, the customer requested that the table have a Rustic Looking Top (i.e. used & beat up) sized approximately 2′ x 4′ and that it have a Lower Shelf for some decorative and useful baskets.  Note: This coffee table is the first one built by Just Fine Tables to have a lower shelf.  The Custom Coffee Table is pictured below in its new home:

It is truly fun helping customers to see their wishes completed and that they can continue to enjoy their wishes for years to come.  Luckily, we at Just Fine Tables have more fun items to complete (3 table set [sides & coffee] with lower shelves , a bookcase, a bed’s headboard & foot board, and a “Step-up-to-be-Tall” Stool for our Grandson who will turn 1 year old Christmas Eve) over the next week.

Multiple Wine Bar – Buffet Tables Are The 1st Offerings from Calera, AL., “The New Home of JUST FINE TABLES”.

We are back at work building tables and refinishing furniture since our move from Lay Lake to our new operation in Calera, AL.  The physical move was tough and the mental move was even tougher. Having to keep up with what went where, or where do I put this for now was a real pain (actually it still is a real pain duhh..).

Anyway, we came back with three (3) new Wine Bar – Buffet Tables as our 1st offerings from our new location in Calera, AL.  The three offerings included one previously ordered Buffet Table and two (2) spec Wine Bar – Buffet Tables.  All the tables were built with at least one unique difference from our previous and similar handmade, Made-in-America tables.

We had to build table #3 when we saw this wide piece of hardwood standing against the wall at our primary hardwood supplier, Hardwoods Inc. located near the Shelby County Airport.  Address: Hardwoods Inc. of Alabama LLC, 180 Airview Lane, Alabaster, AL 35007-4834, phone: (205) 664-0224.

When we saw the plank standing there, we just could not help ourselves. We had to get it. The plank with its unique and beautiful grain structure …with the added bonus of the knot hole was just too much. We had to have it and we didn’t ask what the price would be. We just had to have it as it looked great and was exactly the size of our typical wine bar – buffet table.

CHILD’S “Football Fan” ROCKING CHAIR

On occasion, we like to veer off and do something a little different. In this case, we have updated a CHILD’S “Football Fan” ROCKING CHAIR that one of wonderful neighbors gave us.

Our neighbor’s son had definitely outgrown the rocker and asked, “Frank, would you like to have this child’s rocker?” I said, “Sure, I’ll take it and have some fix-up fun with it.”

FYI, the Child’s Rocker was originally a natural oak color with painted ‘blue racing flag squares’ and it also had our neighbor’s son’s name scripted in the seat. We decided to get rid of the squares and certainly the scripted name so that the chair would work for any young football fan (girl or boy). As you can see, we painted it a cottage white and applied a finish for durability and longevity.

Please know that we like to have fun with our workmanship and we want it to be as good as, or better than, anything we would own.

New ‘Man Cave’ Coffee Table – Gone in Minutes

We built and delivered our Newest ‘Man Cave’ Coffee Table to Encore Resales yesterday and when we checked in with ENCORE about 5 hours later, the Man Cave Coffee Table had found a new owner.
It’s assumed that the new owner was the lady who wanted the other one shown in an earlier post, .. but it’s not know for sure. Regardless, we are confident that whoever took our newest coffee table home with them Will Love It. [ In our estimation, this coffee table had one of the most beautiful tops we had ever accented. Of course, GOD does the prework and we get to add a few highlights. ]

Country FARM TABLE and Chairs

Just Fine Tables has just completed a small, but useful sized, Country FARM TABLE that should seat four (4) people exceptionally well. The country farm table has a lightly distressed wood top giving 1,550 square inches of area (i.e. dimensions being 31″ x 50″ ) that makes for plenty of comfort during dining.

Our last “Man Cave” Coffee Table was a tremendous hit with a lady who bought our Solid Oak Man Cave Coffee Table for her son who was moving to Tuscaloosa, AL to attend the Univ. of Alabama. We know he will enjoy it; however, we really want him to do diligence in his educational studies and not let the parties get out of hand.

The lady bought the Solid Oak Coffee Table at Encore Resales Consignment Store, Pelham, AL … and the new “Man Cave” Coffee Table on a 44″ heavy metal base will be at Encore later today for Your Man or Home.

Just completed another Custom Hand Built “Made-In-America” Kitchen Island for a new customer who had seen my ‘Southern Living Island’ earlier on this website.

This new Kitchen Island is smaller, approx: 34″ x 48″, and has a black base instead of the whitish base found on the original ‘Southern Living’ version.

Lots of folks have been asking what different kinds of wood looks like and what the wood might look like finished on Farm Tables, Kitchen Islands, and Wine Bar – Buffet Tables.

This has been a recurring question by many people, especially for one potential customer who has been particularly curious to ensure that the table and island wanted built to be..like Just Perfect, or as perfect as realistically possible.

SAW HORSE TABLE DESK replica of “Southern Living & Coastal Living” Article

Just Fine Tables, with its partner, J’s – AVE, has hand-built a semi-replica SAW HORSE Based TABLE DESK that was featured in the January 2011 issue of “Southern Living” magazine. For reference, the original Saw Horse Desk can be seen a couple of times in the article titled, “Create a Restful Retreat”.

For our SAW HORSE TABLE DESK, we at Just Fine Tables decided that a distressed plank top would work better for our replica as compared with the fabric covered hollow wood door top found in the article, even though we loved the simplicity and beauty of the fabric covered door as a desk top.

Our newest Wine Bar-Buffet Table, Handmade and certainly “Made-In-America” was a major hit when it arrived at the Encore Resales Consignment Store yesterday. According to the staff, a lady came in, saw it, and said, “I Got To Have It!”, but I don’t need the small wine cellar refrigerator you have with it.

The lady who purchased the Wine Bar-Buffet Table wanted to use it as a Kitchen Island Table in her home. She loved the table, but did not need the wine cellar since she did not have an electrical outlet in the floor area where she planned to place the Wine Bar-Buffet Table.

Our plan here at Just Fine Tables is to build another Handmade, “Made-In-America” Wine Bar-Buffet Table very much like the one above and offer it for sale with the Wine Cellar.
